It is reported that Tesla delivered a record 422,875 vehicles worldwide in the first quarter of 2023. While previously, relevant analysts expected this company to sell 421,164 vehicles, Tesla ended up achieving slightly higher market results than this level. In terms of production, Tesla produced 440,808 vehicles in the first quarter of this year, which also exceeded the previous analysts' forecast of 432,513 vehicles. Among them, Tesla Model S and Model X deliveries were 10,700 and production was 18,300, while Model 3 and Model Y deliveries were 412,200 and production was 421,400.
Thus, both sales and production, Tesla exceeded market expectations. And in the previous Tesla earnings call, its CEO Elon Musk said that Tesla's goal for this year is to produce 1.8 million to 2 million electric cars.
Tesla will continue to transition to "more balanced volume production for different regional markets," including Model S/X models being shipped to EMEA (Europe/Middle East/Africa) and Asia Pacific. Tesla will report financial results for the first quarter of 2023 after market close on Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
