Tesla Giga Shanghai delivers over 75,000 units in April
According to the data released by China Passenger Vehicle Association, Tesla Giga Shanghai delivered 75,842 new vehicles in the just past April, surpassing Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Audi to secure the championship in domestic luxury brand deliveries. Meanwhile, Model Y ranked first in the delivery volume of the whole car market with 49,059 units in the market; Model 3 was also good, with 26,783 units delivered, ranking in the top 10 of overall model deliveries.
Not only is it a top seller in China, but export sales are also firmly in the forefront. In April, Tesla Giga Shanghai exported a total of 35,886 units, topping the list of No. 1 exports made in China. In Germany, Tesla's April sales jumped 272% year-over-year. In 13 European countries, including Spain, Italy, Denmark, Norway and New Zealand, the Model 3 and Model Y were also the best-selling electric vehicles in their respective segments in April, with Tesla ranking first in tram brand sales by a wide margin. In the U.S. market, the Model Y also became the best-selling non-pickup truck model in the first quarter.
At a time when the global price of Tesla's entire lineup of models has been raised, Tesla continues to deliver bright results, which shows that product and technology are always the key to impressing consumers.
