Tesla Recalls Nearly 1.1 Million Vehicles In The U.S.
Tesla is reportedly recalling nearly 1.1 million U.S. vehicles because its automatic window reversal system may not respond properly after detecting an obstacle, raising the risk of personal injury, according to National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) documents.
In response, Tesla has informed NHTSA that it will perform a remote software update to these automatic window reversal systems. The recall involves some Model 3 models produced from 2017 to 2022, Model Y models produced from 2020 to 2021, and Model S and Model X models produced from 2021 to 2022.
Tesla also said it has not received any warranty claims, field reports, collisions, injuries or deaths related to this recall.
Over the past year or so, Tesla has conducted multiple recalls. NHTSA data shows that as of May of this year, Tesla has issued more than 10 recalls covering more than 2 million electric vehicles.
